Unmanned Aerial System OCTOPUS

The UAV system was created to provide aerial fire support for ground forces units, engaging specially trained tactical groups. It achieves this by deploying various types of munitions during defensive or offensive operations, conducting operations to destroy enemy personnel and equipment at night. An additional function of the system is to acquire and transmit reconnaissance data to interested units during mission execution.

The Unmanned Aerial System includes:

img

UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) of quadcopter type with a hybrid engine (electric propulsion for propellers and a gasoline generator)

img

Microbus equipped with digital communication, an operator's workstation for the UAV, and a charging power station (the vehicle serves to transport UAV equipment, the personnel of the group, and serves as a platform for grounding equipment)

img

Ammunition kit tailored to the planned mission

img

Starlink satellite internet modul

img

Ground control station, consisting of a remote control (joystick manipulator) with an integrated tablet for the UAV operator

img

Protected laptop

img

Power module consisting of a ground-based gasoline generator with a capacity of 3.2 kWh and a power bank with a capacity of 3 kW.

PENTAGON

Unmanned technologies are advancing steadily, continuously evolving in the conditions of real warfare here and now.

Means of aggression actively compete with means of suppression and air defense.

Barrage munitions at the operational-tactical level become obsolete morally within months, facing modern anti-aircraft missile systems and enemy electronic warfare means.

The combat situation demands from UAVs speed, maneuverability, radio transparency, invisibility, and the ability to cover distances at ultra-low altitudes or echelons, where they can only be targeted by expensive and complex SAM (Surface-to-Air Missile) systems like S-300/400, Buk-M3, where the cost of one shot would be between 0.25-2 million US dollars for the enemy.

After being upgraded three times, the Pentagon project changed its development team twice, but remained operational.
